On your way to school, remember these tips.

Plan a walking route to avoid high traffic areas. When crossing the street, stop at the curb, look left – look right – and continue looking until it’s safe to cross.

It’s good to have a walking buddy, or even better, a walking group.

If your kid has a cell phone, make sure it’s fully charged and all emergency contacts are saved.
